REGISTRATION OF TEMPORARY ADDRESS

Citizens of the Republic of Slovenia and foreigners with a valid permit for residence in the Republic of Slovenia must register temporary address within three days from the day of moving in if you take residence or temporarily reside outside of the place of your permanent or temporary residence, at holiday homes, apartments or similar if you intend to stay for more than 60 days.

You must register temporary address within three days from moving in. This can be done in person at any Administrative unit or local office in the territory of the Republic of Slovenia or on-line through the e-government portal if you have a security certificate.

Foreigners who have a valid residence permit or certificate on the registration of residence in the Republic of Slovenia but do not have your permanent or temporary place of residence registered with the Administrative Unit must register the temporary address within three days from moving in or from the delivery of temporary residence permit or certificate on the registration of residence in the Republic of Slovenia.

Foreigners who do not have a permit for residence in the Republic of Slovenia and are not staying at an accommodation facility, must register at the competent police station within three days from crossing the state border or change of address. You can register alone or with your host. Electronic registration is not possible. Registration is free of charge.
